Chief Operating Officer

Burke Cox is the Chief Operating Officer at Sevatec, Inc. In this role, Mr. Cox provides oversight of Sevatec's operations and leads the firm's long-term strategy to expand its portfolio of mission critical projects in the federal marketplace. Mr. Cox brings more than 15 years of progressive experience in launching, and leading from start-up to maturity, growth oriented technology companies that are designed to capture a large market share in a short period of time. With a passion for his work, Mr. Cox understands every business function and is a proven leader in managing and growing sustainable companies. He has produced a substantial network of trusted advisors and partners in all aspects of services support, delivery, and business development.

Prior to joining Sevatec, Mr. Cox served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Platinum Solutions, a software development, enterprise architecture, and data management consulting firm. He managed all aspects of Platinum's growth and corporate strategy in addition to the company's internal IT infrastructure and service support to federal clients. During his tenure, Platinum grew from approximately $18M to $53M in revenue. Prior to Platinum, Mr. Cox served as Chief Executive Officer of Stelligent, Inc. and JNETDirect, Inc., where he oversaw corporate vision, service strategy, financial management, and capital acquisition. He negotiated the successful sales of Stelligent and JNETDirect in private acquisitions.

Mr. Cox earned a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from Auburn University. He was named Outstanding Alumnus by the Auburn University Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering in 2003. He is a nationally recognized speaker, author, and editorial commentator in the information technology community and remains an active member of multiple industry and philanthropic advisory boards.
