Health Insurance and Prescription Plan
Sevatec offers Care First’s BluePrefered PPO, BlueChoice Advantage 8, and BlueChoice Advantage 4 options for our employees. We pay a significant portion of the premiums for medical coverage. This nationwide plan is extremely easy to use and has received overwhelming approval from our employees in terms of increased access to various medical professionals and extent of coverage.
As a unique component of our Medical coverage from CareFirst, a wide-ranging discount vision plan is included for all of our employees.
Sevatec offers a comprehensive PPO Dental plan with Humana.
Employee Assistance Program
Sevatec offers assistance for employees (and immediate household family members) through Prudential Insurance. This program provides 24 hours a day, seven days a week confidential support, guidance, and resources during those times when a little extra help is necessary.
Life Insurance and AD&D
Sevatec provides each employee $100,000 of coverage at no cost. In addition, associates are able to purchase optional term life and AD&D up to $300,000 at very reasonable rates. Dependent life insurance is also available.
Sevatec pays 100% of short-term and long term disability for all of our employees.
Short Term Disability - Sevatec insures its associates with a short-term disability program, under which a disabled associate (disabled due to sickness or accident) will be insured for 60% of his/her weekly salary up to a maximum of $1,500 weekly benefit for a maximum period of 13 weeks.
Long Term Disability – Sevatec insures its associates with long-term disability coverage. An associate disabled for 3 months or more will be eligible for 60% of his salary to a monthly maximum benefit of $6,000, until age 65 years.
Savings and Retirement
401(k) Retirement Plan
Sevatec provides a 401K plan through The Principle Group. The company matches 50% of the employee's contributions up to 6 percent. Company contributions are vested over 4 years.
Flexible Spending Account
Sevatec offers Flexible Spending Accounts for medical and dependent care costs. The Flexible Spending Account Plan is a tax savings benefit that is offered to Sevatec, employees. This Plan will allow you to participate in the following benefits:
- Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA). A Health Care FSA will allow you to receive tax free reimbursement for health care expenses not covered by your health or dental insurance. These expenses may include deductibles, co-payments, dental or vision care expenses. Expenses eligible for reimbursement may be for you or for one of your dependents regardless of whether you or your dependents are covered under our medical plan.
- Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Employees who utilize babysitters or daycare institutions in order to work will be able to pay for those expenses with pre-tax dollars. Most employees will find this benefit to be more valuable than the childcare tax credit. This benefit may also be used for eldercare.
- Transit and Parking Spending Account (FSA). Transportation or Transit plans allow employees to set aside funds to be used for pre-tax reimbursement for certain qualified transportation and commuter parking expenses to travel to and from work.
Professional Development and Employee Recognition
Through a special partnership with SkillSoft, Sevatec provides with employees with more than 500 online courses in a multitude of different disciplines to include leadership, business and IT. The system enables employees to custom tailor their professional development program to suit their individual goals.
