IT Project Manager
Position Title: IT Project Manager - Washington Metropolitan Area
- Assist with developing and defining project management strategy
- Manage scope of initiatives and monitor change requests
- Develop, manage and monitor project schedules and interdependencies and perform time estimates for change requests
- Perform critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions when required
- Develop, manage and monitor project and initiative budgets
- Assist and recommend appropriate project and initiative resources and staffing and alert management to any potential conflicts
- Prepare communications (e.g., status reports) as requested
- Identify and analyze initiative risks and provide mitigation strategies/plans
- Refine, manage and monitor initiative results, including the use of metrics and key performance indicators
- Develop standard operating procedures, template and tools in the areas of schedule management, risk management, configuration management, and quality assurance
- Capture and share lessons learned and best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field. Project management (PMP certification)
Minimum Experience Required:
- 10+ yrs experience project management including Information Technology (IT) projects dealing in software development or IT Infrastructure
- MS Project, analytical/critical thinking, consultative problem solving, interpersonal communication, flexibility, negotiation
- Team leadership, MS SharePoint, software development, multi-tasking, attention to detail, Earned Value, CMMI, ITIL V3 foundations Certified.
- IBM Websphere, Oracle, Tibco and other middleware technologies a plus
- IRS (MBI) Clearance a must!
