Provide technical engineering and implementation services Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for the planning, requirements, design, integration, and testing of large scale solutions. This role will participate in a team conducting assessments and evaluations of software for existing services, assess system functionality for improvement recommendations, and define efficiency improvement recommendations at the code level. The development of detailed reports and recommendations based on interviews of system implementation team members, current documentation, financial and resource analyses, and market research will be an essential task. Effective performance in this role will require the use of knowledge in solutions engineering, troubleshoot existing systems and streamline system operation. As part of the reporting requirements, the documentation of standard operation procedures of a system and/or technical reference guides is expected.

Key Job Functions:

• Confer with system development staff to investigate, document, report, and recommend options to improve system reliability and to rectify issues identified.
• Troubleshoot difficult or complex production issues such as slowdowns or bottlenecks and determine if code inefficiencies are at the root of the problem.
• Confer with technical staff in implementation and integration of systems or in system development in support of complex operation and/or production issues.
• Develop recommendations regarding resource planning (personnel and financial) associated with technical requirements and system objectives.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required (8 years related experience)

Minimum Experience:

• 3-5 years of related experience

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in hands on system development in either a .Net or Java environment.
• Knowledge of middleware, databases, operating systems and LAN/WAN.
• Experience with requirements analysis, data flow, network design, or implementation or testing preferred.
• Experience with system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans preferred.
• Experience with resource planning (personnel and financial) and project management
