Computer Systems Analyst III
Minimum Qualifications for Computer Systems Analyst III:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant computer-related field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to lead projects in all phases of the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of management information systems.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing independent environments for development, testing, and production purposes. Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining source code control systems, and in maintaining hardware and software configuration management systems for distributed data processing systems running varying versions and releases of applications and systems software.
- Substantial practical experience in the ADP field with demonstrated experience as task leader and/or as a project or group leader translating user requirements into programming tasks; analyzing on-going systems for performance efficiency and evaluating and planning enhancements and/or redesign; preparing specifications for major system developments and/or enhancements; application of structured techniques in analytical tasks; database design, data modeling.
- Expertise and substantial experience in structured programming in ‘Java’ or ‘C’/’C++’ language in a UNIX environment and writing scripts using C/Bourne/Korn shell scripting language.
- Expertise and substantial experience in the design, development, and implementation of financial and statistical applications in a Web based environment of which includes: developing database applications using Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) technology; developing applications using HTML, JavaScript, Perl/PHP.
- Experience managing a group of programmers or programmer/analysts, with experience in project planning and project management.
- Working knowledge of a variety of Web browsers and Web Server architecture.
- Experience with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tool and associated Middleware in a Web based environment.
- Working knowledge of operating in a MS-Windows based LAN/WAN environment.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to develop and present comprehensive technical presentations.
- Working knowledge of Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model or ISO 9000 documentation and life cycle policies.

- Familiarity with test management tools and their integration within the software development life cycle.
