Technical Team Leader (TTL) Systems Operations
Minimum Qualifications for Technical Team Leader (TTL) Systems Operations:
- Proven ability to lead projects in all phases of the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of management information systems.
- Substantial practical knowledge of object¬ oriented methodology and client-server development.
- Substantial practical experience in the ADP field with demonstrated experience as task leader and/or as a project or group lead translating user requirements into programming tasks; analyzing on-going systems for performance efficiency and evaluating and planning enhancements and/or redesign; preparing specifications for major system developments and/or enhancements; application of structured techniques in analytical tasks.
- Knowledge of UNIX, software and database design and data modeling methodologies, GUI-based application development and support, Common Desktop Environment (CDE), networking and data communications.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to develop and present comprehensive technical presentations.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing independent environments for development, testing, and production purposes. Demonstrated experience in establishing source code control systems, and in maintaining hardware and software configuration management systems for distributed data processing systems running varying versions and releases of applications and systems software.
- Expertise and substantial experience in UNIX systems administration activities including programming in a UNIX environment writing C/Bourne/Korn shell scripts in support of UNIX Systems Administration processes.
- Demonstrated experience in administering invasive and non-invasive approaches to system and network security on SUN UNIX/Windows servers/network including intrusion detection tools, network port scanners, vulnerability detection tools, password crackers, TCP wrappers, and other security management tools.
- Experience in planning and administering system procedures for emergency and disaster recovery to facilitate continued operations.
- Working knowledge in the management, design, and development of applications in a Web environment using HTML, JavaScript, Java, Perl, PHP.
- Substantial experience supporting TCP/IP protocol and internet services including HTTP, FTP, SSH, POP3, SMTP, etc.
- Working knowledge of operating in a MS-Windows based LAN/WAN environment.
- Working knowledge of Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model (CMM) or ISO 9000 documentation and life-cycle policies.
- Working knowledge of a variety of Web browsers.
- Working knowledge of Web Server architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant computer-related field or equivalent experience.
