Sevatec Wins a 3-year Training Program Support Contract to Support the Department of Housing and Urban Development
Sevatec, Inc. Moves Forward in its Commitment to Total Quality by Achieving Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) Maturity Level 3
Arlington, VA, 1/18/2008 – Sevatec, Inc., a fast-growing firm that provides management, business and technical consulting to the federal government, announced today that it was selected by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to convert stand-up/leader-led Real Estate Assessment Center's (REAC) Physical Assessment Subsystem (PASS) inspector certification training program into a complete blended learning solution under a three year contract. REAC's mission is to provide and promote the effective use of accurate, timely and reliable information assessing the condition of HUD's public housing portfolio. As part of this assignment, Sevatec is evaluating all aspects of the current training program to determine the most efficient strategies on leveraging web-based learning technologies while retaining the value of student/instructor interaction and collaboration experienced through the classroom.
"REAC is committed to significantly improving their training and learning programs. It is exciting to work with clients who recognize the importance of learning and appreciate the value that new technology brings to the learning experience." said John Mullins, Practice Director for Human Capital Consulting. "We are confident that in the future, REAC will realize significant improvements in their program operations and have increased confidence in the capabilities of their Inspectors. We are confident that through this effort we can increase the pipeline of new inspectors, demonstrate a higher level of examination success and reduce the cost of training to both the inspector applicants and client."
In addition to modifying existing content and creating new content, Sevatec is implementing a Learning Management System (LMS), through which all course activities will be deployed and tracked. This learning infrastructure will enable HUD-PASS to educate and certify a larger pool of potential inspectors nation-wide, as well as decrease the time for training and associated travel expenses.
Sonny Kakar, President and CEO of Sevatec, said that our company strives to make each consulting practice area unique. "Sevatec's core strength is our ability to provide innovative consulting services that help organizations improve performance and streamline operations, saving time and money for our clients," he said. "It is particularly gratifying that we are able to provide these services to an organization like REAC, which plays such a pivotal role in providing information to help ensure safe, decent and affordable housing and to restore the public trust by identifying fraud, abuse and waste of HUD resources."
