Charlie Church Joins Sevatec as VP, DHS EAGLE II Program Executive

Previous CIO of DHS NPPD and VP of Homeland Security & Defense at ACS Federal Solutions

Falls Church, Virginia, January 4th, 2010: Sevatec, Inc. (Sevatec) announced today that Charles (Charlie) H. Church has joined the firm as Vice President, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) EAGLE II Program Executive. In this senior leadership role, Mr. Church will spearhead Sevatec's capture strategy for DHS-wide programs and will lead Sevatec's pursuit of a Prime award for the DHS EAGLE II contracting vehicle. In addition, Mr. Church will provide firm-wide expansion strategy support across Defense and other key markets.

Mr. Church brings more than 28 years experience offering proven successes in directing large-scale technology initiatives across DHS. Prior to joining Sevatec, Mr. Church was Vice President of Homeland Security and Defense for ACS Federal Solutions from March 2008 to November 2009. From October 2003 – February 2008, and since the inception of DHS, Mr. Church served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD), the Information Analysis and Infrastructure Protection (IAIP) Directorate, and Preparedness Directorate of DHS. In 2007, Mr. Church was an honoree for CIO magazine's 20th annual CIO 100 Awards and was selected as the #27 ranked CIO in the United States by a committee of eight of the top editors and writers from Ziff Davis publications CIO Insight, Baseline and eWeek.

Prior to joining the staff at the DHS, Mr. Church was at the Treasury Department as the Program Manager, Telecommunication Services when he joined the government in October 2001. His previous private sector engagements included various leadership roles at AOL, UUNET and One Soft. Mr. Church served as an Officer in the United States Navy Submarine Service from 1981 to 1995, retiring at the rank of Lt. Commander.
