Sevatec Wins HUD OCIO PRA Contract
Firm to Help Implement Agency's Paperwork Reduction Act Program
Falls Church, Virginia, September 25, 2009: Sevatec, Inc. (Sevatec) announced today that the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), selected the firm to implement the agency's Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) program in support of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act "Recovery Act" (ARRA) of 2009.
Sevatec will help the agency comply with the information collection provisions of the PRA, including preparing Office of Management and Budget (OMB) responses on information collection-related activities; and assisting the HUD PRA Officer in providing guidance to program offices on preparing and submitting information collection initiatives. In addition, Sevatec will help the agency prepare responses to public inquiries on information collection initiatives; and perform necessary research and provide documentation to support the PRA Officer's audit and query responses to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and HUD Inspector General (IG). Moreover, Sevatec will act as a liaison between the HUD PRA Officer and report liaison officers to help ensure effective communications and exchange of current information between HUD program offices and the HUD PRA Officer.
HUD is the federal agency responsible for national policy and programs that address the nation's housing needs, that improves and develops the nation's communities, and that enforces fair-housing laws. The PRA Office is responsible for assisting HUD in its implementation of its PRA program, and improving and expanding the effectiveness of the PRA program in support of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act "Recovery Act" (ARRA) of 2009.
