Sevatec Wins NASA Training Logistics Services Contract

Falls Church, Virginia, May 1, 2009: Sevatec, Inc. (Sevatec) announced today that the firm has been awarded the Agency Training Logistic Support (ATLS ) contract to provide services for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Office of Human Capital Management (OHCM) and Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE).

"This contract award allows Sevatec to build on our service offerings at NASA and great client relationship with OHCM," said Sevatec President and CEO Sonny Kakar upon hearing of the contract award. "I am extremely proud of our people and this achievement."

NASA selected Sevatec because of the firm's training logistics, project management, and blended learning expertise. Sevatec will assist the agency in preparing for, conducting, and evaluating various agency-wide and center-specific training courses, programs, workshops, and conferences; developmental programs sponsored by OHCM and OCE; and financial management and procurement support. "OHCM and OCE play an important role in the development of training at NASA," added John Mullins, Vice President of Human Capital and Learning Solutions. "We are elated to have the opportunity though this award to expand our work at NASA and take great pride in the confidence in our training development experience and expertise, knowledge of the NASA mission, and industry best practices this award represents."

OHCM and OCE are responsible for providing agency-wide executive leadership, program/project career development, engineering and scientist training activities, policy direction, functional management, and coordination of training and development activities directed toward accomplishing the NASA human capital goals. In particular, OCE provides professional development to teams and individuals through performance support, knowledge sharing, courses, career development, university partnerships, and advanced technology tools. The total contract value for this award is up to $9 million.
